Jesus Christ was a master story teller. He knew the power of using the people and events of everyday life to connect with the hearts of men, women and children. The GrowDeep project wants to use the model of Jesus' ministry as a way to put story telling into the context of the 21st century.

Why is it important to do this? Studies have shown that “literary reading in America is not only declining rapidly among all groups, but the rate of decline has accelerated, especially among the young.” This reflects a “massive shift toward electronic media for entertainment and information.”

We are at the foundational stages of learning how to respond to these trends. We are learning what works and what does not. We are conducting experiments and could use your help.
