Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get from the airport to Winshape? We will provide free transportation at select times on Monday, September 20th and on Thursday, the 23rd.

Will there be any free time to enjoy the facility? Yes, in two ways. First, there will be some slots left open in the schedule to allow for you to ride bike, walk, get a massage or just relax in a peaceful, wooded setting. Second, in light of the fact that a major portion of the schedule is elective seminars, you can make your schedule as light or heavy as you wish.

Is this a "rustic" retreat center? The beauty of Winshape is you can choose. If you want to save money, you can stay in one of the cabins which are nice (air conditioned, multiple bathrooms, etc.) but more rustic. The lodge has been described as a "five-star" accomodation.

Can I see a list of seminars? We will post them as we confirm speakers and schedules, but we anticipate that it will be similar to previous years in that we will offer quite a variety across the various tracks. You can check the registration Web site for the latest listing.

What different tracks are offered? We offer seven different tracks. Children, Church and Small Groups, Music & Arts, Starter, Training, Visual Story and Women.

How far is Winshape from the airport? You should plan on 90 minutes from Atlanta International and about two hours from Knoxville.

Who can attend? The conference is open to anybody who has an interest in learning about how to be a more effective teacher of the Word and discipler of people. The Winshape facility does have a restriction of 18 and older.

Can I invite others? YES! It would be great if you could pass on this invitation to others. We have made the assumption that you are familiar with ION, so we've not taken a lot of time in this invitation to explain some of the core motivation for learning about Orality. So if you want to invite others who you feel may need a little more background on orality, you may want to send them this invitation.
