The International Orality Network annual conference is less than a week away. This email comes to give you arrival and registration instructions. This email is being sent to everyone who has registered to date.

If you are flying in for the conference and staying in the hotel you will use the free shuttle bus to get to the hotel. After claiming your luggage follow the signs to Ground Transportation. Once there, call the hotel at 952-831-8000 to request a pick-up. You may have to wait between 5 to 15 minutes depending on where in the route the drive is. The hotel will give you instructions for where to meet the driver.
If you are driving to the hotel, the address is 5401 Green Valley Dr, Bloomington, MN 55437. The hotel Web site has detailed directions: www.cpmsp.com/directions/

If you are staying at the hotel, you should have received an email when you made the reservation that contains your confirmation number and other room information. When you arrive at the hotel, please go to the front desk and give them your name or confirmation number. Check-in time is 3pm. They can store luggage if you arrive early. You will need to leave a credit card for payment. If you want to receive credit for your Priority Rewards, please provide them your number at check-in.
If you have a special need such as a accessible room, lower floor, and so forth, please call the hotel directly at 952-831-8000 to make those arrangements.

In light of the fact that all conference fees should be paid prior to arrival, registration primarily involves picking up your "conference kit" and your free goods bag. The only other major item at registration will be meal tickets (see next paragraph). The registration area is just inside Door Three at the church.
Registration will begin at 11am and run until 5pm. If you are coming for the Introduction to Orality or the Practitioners Roundtable, please arrive by 12:30 to allow adequate time to park, check-in, and find the meeting room.

The standard conference registration includes three dinners and two lunches. Task force attendees will get an extra dinner and lunch. Tickets for the meals will be issued.

This conference is considered "business casual" meaning that most will be wearing nice slacks, a sweater, button-down or polo shirt. Minnesota weather is expected to be wonderful. Daytime highs right around 80 degrees and cooling down to 60 at night. A slight chance of evening rains.

In order to prepare for this conference, there are a couple of other things you can do.
Record your flight info: If you are flying in and have not recorded your flight information on the Web site, please do so. This will help us to inform the hotel when the heaviest travel times will be and they may add extra busses if needed.
View the Handouts: The schedule, announcements, maps, notes and so forth are all posted on the registration site in a menu item called "Documents." You can look through these to get a feel for what will be covered and what the schedule looks like. You do not have to print these up in that you'll be handed a color coded packet at the conference.
Research Orality: If you have not yet gone to the Oral Bible site, www.oralbible.com, to view helpful materials. You may especially want to check out the section titled "Resources."
Leaving Early: If you are not going to be staying at the conference for all of the meals, please let us know. You can send an email to ion09@intre.org.
Pray for the conference: Ask God to speak to prepare our hearts to hear what He has to say. For safety in travel and for all of the preparation to be completed. May He be honored and exalted!
